"Stop staring!" Fira screamed at Tommy then whistled and Fireball took off running. As soon as Fireball got to where Fira was Fira grabbed on to Fireball's mane and swung on to Fireball's back.
"Told you not to worry about it, she always does that," Ryan told Tommy seeing his shocked face.
"Why did you have to stare?" Fira asked Tommy when she got caught up though it only took a few minutes.
Ryan said before Tommy could talk, "He was worried about you."
"No I was just in shock, how did she do that anyways?" Tommy said.
Fira replied, "Took a lot of practice. I've been working on that for a good eight years now, and I still don't have it just right." That finally got Tommy to shut up but Tommy said he shut up because he fell off the horse. After about 15 minutes of them riding, when Tommy had finally got the hang of riding Demon, Tommy said, "I have just one question."
"What do you want to know this time?" Fira asked.
Tommy said, "I am just wondering how Ryan rides out in the sunlight like this?"
"Okay that's it I'm tried of these questions I'll meet you guys up by the pond. Don't go over by the waterfall. Bye bye see you guys later," Fira said.
"Bye," Tommy and Ryan said as Fira took off. "Okay now I'll answer your question or questions cause so far it seems like you will have more," Tommy nodded and waited for Ryan to explain, "okay well I can come out in the sun cause all the stories you hear about vampires are fake. They say things that are true but most are fake is really what I should say. Well one thing that is fake is that vampires can't die from garlic, crosses, or holy water, but it is true we can die from a stake through the heart but then again who won't die if you ram a stake through their heart? Okay well they thing with the sun is part real part fake in the stories a vampire can't even be hit by sunlight or they die, but in the truth they can but they get sun burned fast and then after about 3 hours it starts to kill them. Now to answer your question, the reason is right above you, all those trees block a good amount of the sunlight and so it makes it where I could stay out here for probably a good 7 hours before the sun starts to kill me."
"Okay I get it now. Next question why doesn't Fira want us to go by the waterfall?" Tommy asked.
Ryan said truthfully, "I have no idea why she says that but I listen to what she says, because one, she is nice to me, two, she can kill my job, three, she's a princess with power."
"Power? I thought only the kings and queens have power over what goes on." Tommy stated.
Ryan said with a smirk, "No, what I mean is she can control fire. All royal family members of this family can other families can control other things."
"Just wondering, but what does Prince Josue's family control?" Tommy asked Ryan.
Ryan told Tommy, "His family control's fire also."
"How can two families control the same element?" Tommy asked.
"That's just it they can't but apparently it has happened. It is said that Jouse's great-great-great-great-great-grandfather learned how to do fire powers but with a defect. The defect is they can only use their power when fire is around them," Ryan told Tommy and smiled because he knew had had answered two questions at once. "Can I ask a couple questions now?"
"Sure, shoot, the questions I mean," Tommy said.
Ryan started to laugh, "I knew you meant the questions." Ryan slowly stopped laughing and said, "Okay I'm going to kill two or three birds with one shot. First question, how old are you? Second question, where are you from? Third question, Do you love Fira or even like her? I want the truth on all of these questions and the answers will stay between you and me only unless you wish to tell."
"Okay I'll tell truthfully, but you better keep your word. The answer to your first question is eighteen, well eighteen and a half my birthday is in a little under six months. Answer two is Freak City just telling you but not many people have heard of it, it's a pretty small city. Last but not least, defiantly not least, answer three, yes I do love her." Tommy told Ryan and quick added, "Now keep your word."
"I always do and so do Fira and she has proved that once today as well as many times. What I want to know is that if you know she loves you and you love her then why do you think that you're not good enough for her?" Ryan asked Tommy.
"First off I told you this it's cause I'm not royalty, two, I don't have any powers like she does. Now for more of my questions. Why do you keep bringing this up? How much farther do we have to go? And how has Fira proved that she keeps her word today?" Tommy asked.
Ryan said with a smirk, "All easy questions. One, I want to know things, two, not much farther, and three, remember before I told you that I was a vampire she looked to me to ask for permission to tell you before she broke her word that she would never tell anyone my secret and her word still holds cause I told you that I was a vampire not her." As they rode up to a weeping willow Ryan said, "Get ready for a true test on how well you can ride." Ryan turned toward the weeping willow and said, "Grandmother Willow."
"Yes dear," said Grandmother willow, the weeping willow tree.
"WHAT?!" Tommy said shocked by the talking tree.
"Who is this young man Ryan?" Grandmother willow said.
Ryan just replied, "A friend of Fira's."
"Oh yes Fira, she came through here a while back said she had to go.....sorry can't finish that, dear." Grandmother Willow said.
"It's okay. Now Grandmother Willow can we go through?" Ryan asked.
"Yes dear, I will talk to you later, Bye," Grandmother Willow said as stands of leaves moved to the sides making a path.
As Ryan moved Baby forward he told Tommy, "Come on let's go and be careful the ground is bumpy."
